The Team
Penny Piersol

Penny’s passion for horses started at a young age and followed her through college. Her junior years found her competing in the hunter/equitation ring in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut under the watchful eye of Key Raider. Averett University provided a BS degree in Equine Studies and a formal education in training, teaching and the opportunity to event. After college she worked and learned from such great horsemen and women such as Joanna Hall Glass, Danny Robertshaw, and Bruce Davidson, along with many others. Penny then freelanced breaking young thoroughbred horses for Tish Winchel at Freshet Farm as well as starting and developing horses for many clients in and around Unionville.
Penny focuses on training horses with what works best for them. They are not rushed to get out the door and only a few at the time are being trained. All this is relevant by their quiet demeanor and personable attitudes. Her diverse background with racehorses, hunters, event horses, combined driving horses, western performance horses has allowed her to realize a program based on basics is key. Penny’s keen eye for horses can always pick out a winner.
Penny enjoys coaching riders, helping them to get the most from their horses. Whether you want to be competitive or just want to improve and enjoy the training process, Penny’s experience, along with her riding and training abilities can offer couple therapy for you and your horse.

Philip & Dan Piersol
Philip and Dan grew up around horses and the farm life. They have both been an everyday part of what it takes to bring a horse along to a place where it is performing at the best of its ability. From start to finish, they have developed their horses and have successfully competed with them. They are a huge asset to our farm team and the horses they train.
Philip and Dan have successfully competed in Central PA Youth Rodeo, PA High School Rodeo, and the World Series Team Roping Finals in Las Vegas. David Keys, Jack Wright, and Matt Palmer are a few of the professionals from whom they have learned. |
